Bees DIY Their Own Top Entrance

Never seen this before. Our Bees in Swallowtail Hive have made their own top entrance.
The bees have chewed out a slot in the red cedar Flow hive box, between the Flow Super Box and the second Brood box.
The Bees now use both entrances, the traditional landing board and their DIY high rise top entry.

DIY Top Entry

The location of the bee made DIY Top Entry can be seen just below the Bee Drawing on the front of the Flow super. A guard bee has emerged to shoo me away.
